More evidence Army is dying:

Seems the Army is so stretched that Air Force personnel are being sent to guard convoys and such.

No slam on the USAF, of course, but that's not exactly what they are normally trained to do. If the Army's really that bad off, then the USAF needs to just give up several thousand folks to the Army for good. Same for the Navy.

Meanwhile, Congress and the current adminisatration have no plan for strengthening the Army and Marine Corps in light of the OPTEMPO of the last 5.5 years. No one has a plan, apparently.

Sorry, soldiers and Marines, it's going to be a long two years before reinforcements start to show up.

Tom, check out this link:

Sorry if the above link ruins a good mood. I felt great this morning until reading that column. Then I remembered how my country is being flushed down the toilet by the most incompetent, corrupt and, dare I say, retarded administration of all time.

Unfortunately, the commentary by Frnk Rich is on TimesSelect, which means I won't be able to read/link to it for some time. If the previous poster could email me the text of Rich's column, I'd sure appreciate it.

On that note, I just got done with Rich's book, "The Greatest Story Ever Sold." It is truly a damning indictment of the current administrations almost unfathomable incompetence.

Hey IV, It looks like things are starting to really fall apart in Iraq quick...

What do you think we should do?
I do feel bad for the few that are trying to live a normal life but I don't see how we can pull off stopping a civil war.
